Jon Scharingson

Strategic Advisor

Jon Scharingson has over 18 years of Senior Commercial Experience in the renewable fuels sector, having worked for Renewable Energy Group and Chevron Renewable Energy Group from 2007-2025.  He has extensive experience in developing new markets for renewable fuels and led the development and implementation of a global marine fuel strategy for REG, He worked closely within Chevron in this capacity for the last 3 years and has an extensive network of contacts in the global marine fuel market.

Jon has also worked extensively in the medium and heavy-duty trucking sector, helping companies identify and implement low carbon solutions to achieve their corporate sustainability targets.

Jon holds an MBA from Iowa State University and a BBA in Management from Iowa State University.  He is currently lecturing part-time in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University.
