Artem Hammerschmidt heads biofuels and feedstock research at Ceras Analytics, the market Intelligence arm of Cefetra Group in Rotterdam, the Netherlands – a leading global supplier of agricultural raw materials to the food and energy sectors, with more than 120 years of experience in international trade.

Artem joined Cefetra Group in October 2021, specializing in the global markets for biofuels, vegetable oils, and animal fats. His primary role is to forecast supply, demand, and prices, with a particular focus on the global markets for biodiesel (FAME), a renewable diesel (HVO), and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Artem is responsible for identifying current and prospective imbalances in the supply and demand of biofuels and biofuel feedstocks to support successful trading strategies and risk mitigation.

Artem is a regular keynote speaker and energy industry events across Europe, Asia, and the U.S., where he shares his research with international trading houses, food, and feed manufacturers, energy companies, consultancy firms and hedge funds.
